Privacy Policy

FIFOFit Pty Ltd (ABN 80 692 431 066) · Effective 10 September 2026

FIFOFit is a fitness, recovery and nutrition app built for fly-in fly-out and rostered workers in Australia. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

The short version. We collect what we need to run the app and the waitlist, we never sell your data, and your employer never sees your individual health or activity information — only anonymous, cohort-level participation numbers if your site runs a pilot.

1. Who we are

FIFOFit Pty Ltd is an Australian company based in Western Australia. Questions about this policy or your data go to hello@fifofitapp.com.au.

2. What we collect

Waitlist (this website). Your email address, the roster you select (optional), a referral code, and the referral code of whoever invited you. Sign-ups are processed by Netlify Forms and stored in our Netlify account.

Account (the app). When the app launches: your name, email, password (stored hashed), and optionally a profile photo.

Roster and plan settings. Your swing pattern, shift times, wake and sleep times, the equipment available at your site, and your goals. This is what the app uses to build your daily plan.

Activity and health-related information. Workouts completed, streaks, step counts and other activity data you choose to log or sync from your phone's health platform (Apple Health or Google Health Connect), meal selections, and optional measurements such as weight. This is sensitive information under Australian law and we only collect it with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the app.

Crew features. If you join a crew challenge, your display name, streak and points are visible to other members of that crew. Nothing else is.

Technical. Device type, operating system, app version, crash reports and anonymous usage analytics that help us fix bugs and improve the app.

3. Why we collect it

4. Employers and site pilots

Where a mining company, contractor or site licenses FIFOFit for its workforce, that organisation receives only aggregated participation and engagement figures for the cohort (for example: "62% of licensed users were active this week"). Employers cannot see whether you personally used the app, what you logged, your weight, sleep, mood, or any other individual information. Where a cohort is small enough that a figure could identify you, we suppress it.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run FIFOFit and who are bound to protect it: hosting and form handling (Netlify), email delivery, app analytics and crash reporting, and payment processing (Apple App Store, Google Play and their payment partners — we never see your card details). Some providers store data outside Australia, typically in the United States; we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

6. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest with our providers. Access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach is likely to cause serious harm we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.

7. How long we keep it

Waitlist details are kept until the beta launches and for up to 12 months afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them. App account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 90 days after you delete it, so you can change your mind, after which it is permanently removed or de-identified. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.

8. Your choices and rights

9. Children

FIFOFit is for working adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.

10. Not medical advice

FIFOFit provides general fitness and nutrition guidance. It is not a medical service and does not replace advice from a doctor or other health professional. Check with a professional before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have an injury or health condition.

11. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and note the new effective date at the top. For significant changes we'll email account holders.
